We use the power of football to to change lives in deprived communities

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I'm attempting to walk 21 miles in a day less than one year after my second metal hip for Africa On The Ball who have really inspired me to help…

Africa On The Ball is a small international sport for development charity founded in Scotland, that uses the power of football to improve education, healthcare, gender equality and enterprise in deprived communities of Africa, starting in Kalingalinga, Zambia.

While we're passionate about the sport of football, we are also calculated in how we use it to create positive change. We give young and older people – boys and girls, mothers and fathers – the chance to play football in a structured way, as part of a team. As part of that team, we help them to learn new things and give something back to their community through outreach programmes. We ask the community how we can help, what they need and what matters to them. Africa on the Ball is a team in every sense of the word. We work together to achieve goals as well as score them.

Be part of our Team and be part of our Dream

The money I hope to raise will go towards 4 people being trained for a year in various skills at the Lusaka Youth Resource Centre to help the Kalingalinga community. Thank you for your support.
