Story
Hi there.
On Sunday 4th October 2009 I will be part of a group of staff from Inverclyde Council Safer Commuities zip sliding across the Clyde in aid of Action for Children Scotland. The set up is simple; there is a mobile crane 130ft high on one side of the Clyde and 1000ft later I'll land on the other side avoiding the water and various pieces of fly tipping dumped into the Clyde...
So I need your help! Whilst Safer Communities (www.justgiving.com/safercommunities) are setting a target of £1000, I am setting a personal target of £250, not a big target but an amount of money which can really help a cracking charity and make a real difference. This is where YOU come in.
Action for Children Scotland is a charity committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential. Today, Action for Children is a provider of family and community centres, children's services in rural areas, services for disabled children and their families, and services for young people leaving care.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the Action for Children Scotland
So if you can manage a pound or two then please do. You can either donate through my justgiving page or see me in person.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Altogether now... "Oh the River Clyde the Wonderful Clyde"...
