On Sunday 4th October 2009 we will be raising money for Action for Children Scotland by taking the plunge and zip sliding across the River Clyde. The zip slide will take place from a mobile crane from the Clyde side to a platform constructed on the opposite side. The height of the slide is approximately 130 ft and the distance from one side to the other (across Water!!!) is 1000ft.

Action for Children is a charity committed to helping the most vulnerable children and young people in the Scotland and the rest of the UK break through injustice, deprivation and inequality, so they can achieve their full potential. Today, Action for Children is a provider of family and community centres, children's services in rural areas, services for disabled children and their families, and services for young people leaving care.
