We provide help and hope to everyone living with dementia.
Story
This is Sam (aged 14) and Dan’s (aged 11) fundraising page in memory of our Grandad Jack.
Our Grandad Jack died last Summer from Alzheimer’s so we know how sad it is to watch somebody once so active become ill with the disease. It has a huge effect on all the family.
This Summer to raise money for the Alzheimer’s society we have been cycling, running and kayaking a combined length of over 135 miles in a series of official events between May and July. These have included an off-road triathlon across the picturesque Fleet Estate in Devon in May (very wet and windy), the Round the Harbours bike ride in Portsmouth (great views, fairly flat with 2 ferry crossings), the long London to Brighton bike ride (lots of crazy cyclists, and yes, Sam did cycle all the way up Ditchling Beacon!) and finally the London bikeathon in July.
Thank you very much to all of you who have helped us raise far more that our target of £500 for the Alzheimer’s society in memory of our Grandad Jack. You may have seen large pictures of us in the Surrey Advertiser, Hampshire Chronicle and Hampshire's Daily Echo !!
Thank you very much, Sam and Dan
PS. Our mum has been coming with us too and raising money for teenagers with heart conditions. Have a look at www.justgiving.com/alisonfowler3 for info on her fundraising

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.
