I am Natasha Finchett - 11 years old.

I had the idea that I wanted to raise money for Cancer Research, because like many people I have friends and family who have been affected by Cancer. Treatment of Cancer is getting better all the time thanks to Cancer Research UK which is such a worthwhile charity that I wanted to help raise money for their research. I hope to raise £2,000, but it would be great to raise even more than this?

My plan is to walk, non stop, 35 miles across Dartmoor from north to south. I chose Dartmoor for my event because we have camped there before. It is a beautiful remote place where you can be miles from anywhere. It is also a very challenging rugged moor, with famous bogs and rocky tors where the weather can change from sunshine to torrential rain in minutes, so it will make the walk more exciting, even in summer.

I am doing it with a friend Iona Blayney who is 12 years old. She also has a justgiving page which is www.justgiving.com/dartmoor-walk so if you would like to sponser her, you are more than welcome.
