Hi, my name is Iona and I am 12 years old.

I want to do something for Cancer Research as I have family and friends who have been affected by Cancer.

Raising money, by doing a good thing, can really help a charity like this. Cancer is very common and Cancer Research raises money to find cures. I think that this is the right thing to do and I really hope that I can raise £2,000, but it would be great to raise even more money than this.

My plan is to walk non-stop 35 miles across Dartmoor from North to South.

I had this idea because it will be a real challenge.

It will also be really fun, especially if there is a friend with me like Natasha Finchett (who's justgiving page is www.justgiving.com/dartmoor-trek). We will trek through, and camp on, the rugged, beautiful, remote moor which is miles from anywhere. It is just going to be the two of us, her father, my father, her brother and my sister!
