On 17th July Rich and I will start our descent of the country from John O Groats to Land's End. Given that we both only bought bikes 3 weeks ago we've taken the difficult decision to not go for the current record of 44 hours!
We are both raising for charities, I will be raising money for a charity called Saving Faces which specialises in research on the treatment and impact of head and neck cancers. As some/most of you will know Dad was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer 9 years ago and the work that Saving Faces has done has made a real difference to him. It's a little researched area so the more money that can be raised the better. There is more information about Saving Faces on this page.
Rich is raising money for the Exodus Himilayan Community Support Project in Nepal and his page can be found here http://www.justgiving.com/rzh So, please make any donation you feel fit, the target set is arbitrary, the more the better! If you are interested in following our progress you can follow it on Twitter at http://twitter.com/mrjrfinlay Thank you - John
