Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 26 May 2013 I will be running the Bupa Great Manchester 10km Run in memory of my good friend Fred Jones who sadly died of Cancer last year. Fred and I were friends for 25 years first meeting at local Badminton club and since then we always kept in touch, whether it was a catch-up over some lovely food or enjoying time on the golf course together and enjoying some well-deserved beer at the 19 hole.

I have decided to raise money so that I can help others who also have been diagnosed with Cancer.  The support that Wigan and Leigh Hospice provided to Fred and his family was outstanding and I would love to say a big thank you to those who helped Fred and his wife Christine, by raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice they can continue with the services and support they provide.
