Team Gore will be running the Bupa Great Manchester 10km Run on 26th May 2013, we’ve been in training now for some while and we hope to complete the run in 60 minutes. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
Father and Daughter, David and Emma, have teamed up to raise money for Cancer Research and Wigan and Leigh Hospice in memory of our lovely friend Fred who sadly lost his battle with cancer last year. Fred was an amazing man and was always out playing some sort of sport and making others laugh, he was a huge family man and always took the time to listen and he used to take part in charity run’s himself!
We have decided to raise money in memory for Fred so that we can help others who also have been diagnosed with Cancer. The support that Wigan and Leigh Hospice provided to Fred and his family was outstanding and we would love to say a big thank you to those who helped Fred and his wife Christine; by raising money for Wigan and Leigh Hospice they can continue with the services and support they provide. We have also chosen to raise money for Cancer Research so that we can help to improve diagnosis and treatment options for those who suffer from Cancer in the future. Just £100 for Cancer Research would buy 1,100 specially designed cryotubes, which are used to store Cancer cells for further research.
