Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.

Story

Nothing but 800 miles of saddle sores, a set of mountains complimented with physical and mental exhaustion stand between 5 people with 1 dream.

With no more than 17 short weeks, we plan to make our way from up North down to the start line  from the Arc de Triomphe and along the Champs-Élysées. In total its 800 miles travelling through central rural France towards Toulouse then the small matter of the pyrenees. Then its a short trip (about 100 miles) down the med coast into Barca and the Sagrada Familia. We're camping for the most part with the odd hotel stop for a much needed shower. Overall it should take us 2 weeks averaging 60-70 miles a day.

During this event we are supporting two charities:
Everyman Campaign - www.justgiving.com/Rob-Bray-Paris2Barca
Cancer Research UK - www.justgiving.com/paris2barca

Meet the team trying to raise awareness for male cancer, and help fund research for cancer:

Me, Rob - Radiographer frequently exposed to radiation and constantly on a bike so has no chance of children      Lubos - East European currently without a bicycle and no touring experience.
Jon
- Southern, climbs mountains and runs marathons.

Chris
- Southern, light skinned and still showing sun burn lines from his first cycling tour.
Jef
- Northern, tired and cynical after his first cycling tour

We welcome any support you can muster for our undertaking, whether it be donations, training with us or even a simple "keep going" when we are down. It will all keep us motivated during the trip.

If you wish to support us through donations you have the choice to give to either via the links above.
