Story
Cancer hits more than the patient - the whole family gets caught up in the storm of this dreadful disease. This is where CancerCare steps in.
CancerCare provides support and information to anyone affected by cancer, including families and carers. Support offered includes one-to-one therapy for both adults and children, either as counselling or various relaxation techniques, group activities to join in and chat with others going through the same difficulties as you and a comprehensive library of information for cancer patients, their families and carers and for health professionals.
These services are funded entirely by donations and fundraising activities, and so this year I am taking part in their annual StarWalk, a 9 mile night time walk around Kendal. Well, it was either that or cycle over Hard Knott and Wrynose Pass - never going to happen! Thankfully no flashing, fluffy pink bunny ears on this one (see my other page!) but please dig deep for this charity too.
I am doing another 9 mile walk for St John's Hospice, who took such loving care of my Dad, (details on this page http://www.justgiving.com/Michelle-moonlight-walk) but as there's a month between the two it leaves enough time for a) my blisters to heal and b) you to save up enough to sponsor me for both!
Please help all you can.
Thank you
Michelle xx
