Moonlight Walk · 5 June 2010
A hospice is a place no-one wants to use, but without St John's and the incredible staff there, my wonderful Dad would not have had the peace and dignity at the end of his life that they gave him. It costs £2.7 million each year to keep the hospice open and make their invaluable services available to those who need it, free of charge.
Although I can't match my sister's half marathon (she's mad!) I am taking part in a sponsored 9 mile midnight walk in aid of St John's. The theme for this event is always pink, and this year the hospice are giving out flashing, fluffy pink bunny ears for all participants to wear - for that alone, never mind the walk, please dig deep and sponsor me! If we can reach my target I promise to send a picture of me in the flashing, fluffy pink bunny ears to all who sponsor me, just to prove I did actually wear them! Although, be warned, if it looks like the target is going to be reached, I may have to increase it!
If you are feeling particularly generous, I am also doing another 9 mile walk for CancerCare, another local charity. The details for this are on my other page:

Thank you very much
