Story
100 DAY CHARITY HAIR CUT 7 February 2014
By Ian Moult, Executive Support Manager, Lowri Beck Services
Hope House Hospices are a charitable organisation who offer a range of services including respite and end-of-life care at their two hospices based in North and Mid Wales and offer support such as counseling and advocacy. Bereavement support is offered to all children, young people and family members for as long as is needed. As some of you may be aware, Hope House in Oswestry was where my son John spent the last few weeks of his young life before his death in 2011 aged just 16.
Since Johns death I have set myself a target of raising at least £500 for Hope House each year which I have so far achieved. Since the start of November I have been growing a winter beard with the vague idea of having a “full kojak” in the new year. This has now become the 100 day charity haircut.
On Friday 31 January 2014 there is a charity night for Hope House that raises around £300. In addition I already have £250 in the kitty so I would like to see if I can raise another £450 to make it a round figure of £1000.
Should you wish to contribute towards the overall goal of £1000 then please give generously via the just giving account that has been set up.
