Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit ourJustGiving page for The Great Escape 2 Charity Ride. This will take place during the 4th and18th June 2011. A Team of Riders with two Support vehicles will retrace the last flight of Sqd Ldr Roger Bushell, Organiser of 'The Great Escape' from Stalag Luft III, on which the Book and Film were both based. The ride will start out from RAF Biggin Hill in Kent, then onto Stalag Luft III in Poland, travelling through France, Belgium, Germany and into Poland. The team will be travelling on Motorcycles donated by Triumph, one a replica of Steve McQueen's bike from the film, (to be auctioned off after the ride). We need to raise £10,000 for 'Help the Hero's' and 'The Royal British Legion' Charities. So Please dig deep and donate all that you can spare to assist these two worthy Charities who look after OUR Service Men and Their Families through times of Need and times of Hardship. Please remember to GIFT AID if you are a UK Tax Payer, it costs you nothing, but the Charities gain alot.
