Story

Hi Everyone,

After doing no running for the past 12 months and instead worked silly hours, had lots of ciggies, sambuca and vodka I have dusted off my trainers and have been bullied into running the Leeds 10K this July in order to raise funds for the Leeds Children's Charity - a very worthwhile charity, with a group of others.  (www.leedschildrenscharity.org.uk)

The reason for this email is to simply ask that you either sponsor me or join me on the run and help ensure the future of this charity.

Although the charity is over 100 years old, very few people within Leeds have actually heard about it. They give underprivileged local children the chance to visit the seaside, make friends and have fun.  They do this by taking around 300 children each year to their holiday centre in Silverdale, an “area of outstanding natural beauty” on the border of Lancashire and Cumbria.

My target is to raise £1000.00 from the run for the charity which will provide enough funds to help another 7 local children experience what a holiday is like for those who suffer from poverty, neglect, abuse or serious illness. Whatever you can spare is gratefully received from £1 to £100 as every pound will take me closer to that target!

You can donate securely and quickly online at http://www.justgiving.com/Andrea-Jones-the-trainers-are-back-on and it literally takes a couple of minutes to do

Please dig deep and wish me luck - haven't started training yet so need to get a move on!!

thank you

Andrea
