UPDATE: *** Tracey succesfully ran the Bristol 10K in 1 hour and 7 minutes! ***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tracey Cummins daughter of Seaton Beer and District Branch secretary Wendy Cummins of Beer is to be running the Bristol 10k race on Sunday 9th May in aid of Seaton Beer and District Branch of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
The family have been involved with fundraising for the RNLI since 1977. Tracey took part in her first RNLI fundraising event at the age of three when her father Nigel pushed her back from Honiton Golf Course to Beer in a wheelbarrow. Tracey took part in many of the branches' sponsored walks until going to university in Southampton in 2000. This year Tracey decided that she would like to do something special for the branch. Her father was a committee member and in latter years the Chairman of the branch until he died in November 2007. Tracey's late grandfather and grandmother were also involved in fundraising for the branch.
Training has been progressing well in her local area. Tracey is aiming to raise over £500 and is asking people to sponsor her through the website http://www.justgiving.com/traceycummins
Tracey is currently looking forward to he race and would like to thank everyone for their support to her and the branch plus RNLI headquarters that is greatly appreciated.
