Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
This Land's End to John o'Groats thing occurred to me about five years ago whilst visiting Land's end on a family holiday in Cornwall. It looked like a difficult but do-able challenge so I decided the to give it a go.
It's quite a way. I'll be taking an "easterly" route passing through Bath, Stratford on Avon, Chesterfield, York, Newcastle, Dundee, Aberdeen, and Inverness. 988 miles end to end according to Google Maps. I hope to do it in 12 days on my bike with the first day being Sunday 10 May 2009.
Hopefully I'll be updating my blog on the trip. You can find it here.
I thought it would be a good idea to raise some cash for a good cause but couldn't decide between Macmillan Cancer Support and Ashgate Hospice which is a local care centre for terminally ill adults.
Macmillan Cancer Support offer fantastic support to cancer sufferers. They helped my mum when she was ill and I have heard nothing but good about the work they do.
This site is for donations to Macmillan Cancer Support.
If you would prefer to donate to Ashgate Hospice click here.
I thought it would be a good idea to raise some cash for Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Macmillan Cancer Support gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks Rob
