In some twist of fate I discovered that Colchester stages a Santa Run in December. This is a shorter run of 5 or 3K (I am running 5K), and is virtually on our doorstep. It would be silly to pass up an opportunity to dress up as Santa and run in aid of our local hospital, especially as they took good care of me when I was an emergency admission earlier in the year.
