We provide grants to support healthcare in Afghanistan

Story

My cousin Karen Woo did amazing work by selflessly going to remote parts of Afghanistan to provide healthcare and surgery to those who would never have such help. Sadly, during these great deeds, her life was taken on 5 August 2010 along with nine other aid workers. The Karen Woo Foundation (KWF) was established to allow her legacy of proving healthcare to the remotest parts of war ravaged Afghanistan to continue. More information about Karen and the amazing work the foundation does can be found here: http://www.karenwoofoundation.org/about-karen.html

To persuade you to donate to this worthy cause, I will be running in the Cyprus Ultra 217km (135 mile) race. It has been run four times with many people attempting it but only two have ever finished it! The terrain is mountainous trail with a lot of elevation gain. I hope to complete it in under 40 hours although the cut-off is 45 hours. Please rest assured, I have already paid my entry and all equipment, support and food will be paid for my myself. Any money donated will all go to the KWF. For more information on the run follow this link: http://www.cyprusultra.com/cyprus-ultra-217km.html

Any donations are greatly appreciated; by me, by the KWF but mostly by those who will be helped.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Peace, love and running.
