Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have decided to take part in a number of endurance events over the course of 2020 starting with the Manchester Marathon in April, a Half Ironman in June, an Ironman in July and currently finishing off with a Tough Mudder in August to raise money for Anxiety UK.
Anxiety is something that can affect anyone at anytime during their lives. Anxiety is something that has had an impact on my own life, as well as, people around me. I notice that people that are affected by anxiety often struggle to talk about the issue and treat anxiety as if it is taboo or embarrassing which only exacerbates the problem. I feel strongly about breaking down these perceptions and raising awareness towards a problem that with the right help can be overcome.
