Story
Broadcaster Rob Walker wanted to do something positive for Children across the country and a business in his area, so he bought £2,000 of book tokens from his local Independent children's bookshop, Octavia's in Cirencester.
With help from Paula Radcliffe, Mark Selby, Mark Williams and Alistair Brownlee, he then set up a sports writing competition in which 100 children will win a £20 book token and the top 10 will earn the opportunity to interview a global sporting star.
If you've heard about YoungSportingWonders and you like what it stands for, why not add your support to literacy for school children from all backgrounds.
Readforgood are a brilliant charity who have agreed that all money raised from this campaign will go towards buying brand new books for disadvantaged children across Britain.
In honour of Paula Radcliffe's extraordinary 2003 marathon world record of 2.15.25, the target for this campaign is £2,015.25.
People are being bombarded with fundraising requests at the moment, so our suggestions are modest. Why not pick one of the following 3 amounts:
£2.15 in honour of Paula's 2 hr15 min World Record in 2003,
£1.47 in honour of Mark Selby & Mark Williams 5 maximum breaks or
£2 in honour of Alistair Brownlee's 2 Olympic titles in 2012 & 2016..
