With your help we will bring aid to the families who feel forgotten, ignored and marginalised,.
Who are the forgotten people?
In the early 1960's, many Eritrean refugees fled war torn Eritrea, in hope of starting a better life in their neighbouring country, Sudan.
Almost 70 years on, East Sudan has one of the highest population of Eritrean refugees, with nearly a million refugees living at the border. Split into 12 camps.
The conditions of the camps are uninhabitable with no access to clean water, malnutrition is also another problem kids as young as seven start to walk with their hands and legs and cant stand up.
Many refugees encounter life threatening diseases and are not provided with adequate health care or medicine due to budget cuts from the UN.
Due to military conscription and a oppressive regime many of them are unaccompanied minors.
The camps are also home to many new mothers and young infants who often incur miscarriages, or are unable to breastfeed children because of their own malnourished state.
We aim to provide the necessities such as feminine hygiene products, medical assistance, and baby products. We also aim to improve the quality of living conditions within the camp such as water, providing them nutrition, and electricity.
This project is very important as this has been going for far to long. With the first comers from the 60's are still there and have never seen change.
Thank you
