My sister Marilyn spent many happy hours at Barnabas, now known as the Beehive. Diverse Abilities , the charity my mother Phyllis founded in 1955, supported my sister for over 40 years. When she was younger she used to love swimming so she would have loved the Splash Pool.

The students who attend the Beehive are really looking forward to having a Therapy pool to help their mobility.

Diverse Abilities is the only charity that supports children and adults with profound physical and learning disabilities in Dorset. We cannot change people’s disabilities but, with your help, we can make their lives fun and fulfilled, giving them a future they truly deserve.
