Story

Tom, Harry and our brave friends are cycling coast to coast from Morecambe to Bridlington, a.k.a The Way of the Roses, in honour of our wonderful Dad Mike.

Before our Dad's illness took a turn for the worse, the the three of us talked about doing this ride and sadly it never got to happen, so thought it would be a fitting way to give something back to the hospice that cared for him so well, by cycling through the two counties in which he spent his life: Lancashire and Yorkshire.

The ride is taking place over the weekend before Mike's birthday, 9th - 11th June. It will take us three days, taking us through Lune Valley, Yorkshire Dales, Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Wolds and the historic cities of Lancaster and York - at a leisurely rate of 60 miles per day (!)

Most of us have never cycled this kind of distance, so it's going to be a big challenge! All your donations will go to St John's Hopsice in Lancaster, who provided amazing care for Mike at the end of his life. their staff were unbelievably kind, caring and hard-working, and I don't know what we would have done without them. Their vital work is funded mainly via donations, so we would like express our gratitude by raising as much as we can!

Huge thanks in advance to everyone who donates, and to our hardy mates for taking up this challenge with us!

Tom and Harry xx
