We use the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page. Waterloo believe we are raising money for an incredibly important charity that raise awareness, exposure and opportunity of disabled sports.

Disability Sports Coach believe that disabled people should have access to sport. As a charity they create worthwhile inclusive sport and physical activity for disabled adults and children to develop skills, confidence and social connections.

How do DSC do this?

They deliver high-quality inclusive sports and physical activity to individuals, community organisations and educational settings. They also train coaches, teachers and community leaders how to deliver inclusive sport.

Over the last 3 years, DSC, have provided over 5000 hours of physical activity and they have trained over 6000 coaches in the delivery of inclusive sport.

We would be really grateful for your support in raising as much money as possible for this charity. Longacre pupils will have access to some of this high quality coaching on the 29th November in order to help expand knowledge of inclusion, diversity and the people who need our help in the community.

We all watch in amazement and pride during the paralympics. However, we never stop to think about how these amazing humans get to this point. Without the support and opportunity a lot of people would not reach this point.

Any support would be much appreciated

About the charity

We use the power of sport to enhance the lives of disabled people. Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Through our inclusive clubs, coaching sessions in schools and expert-led training, we break down barriers to sport for 5,000 disabled people each year.
