A group of North East based artists hope to bring some colour and light to a challenging time, while supporting the invaluable work of the NHS. In this online exhibition of original small works, 50% of sales proceeds will be donated to NHS Charities Together. Exhibiting artists include Enrique Azocar, Helen Baker, Susi Bellamy, Mike Collier, Malcolm Dobbins, Chris Dorsett, Gill Germain, Peter Hanmer, Bennett Hogg, Karen Melvin, Sue Moffitt, Kevin Petrie, Lionel Playford, Jenny Purrett, Mary Ann Rogers, Claudia Sacher and Rachel Sharp. The exhibition is sponsored by The Wall North Contemporary Gallery, based in Hexham.

This unique project aims to support NHS Charities Together through a community focused artistic platform. Original drawings and paintings from a diverse group of North East based artists will be showcased at www.wallnorthgallery.com from 1st July to 31st August. Visitors to the site can send an email about work they are interested in which will be forwarded to the artist. Each artist will exhibit two to four works (max. price £280) and will donate 50% of sales proceeds to NHS Charities Together.

The funds generated will help to support the health and emotional wellbeing of those at the frontline of the NHS, so they can deliver the best care possible to coronavirus patients. Donations will cover wellbeing packs, accommodation, travel, parking and volunteer expenses. Funds will also support the longer term mental and rehabilitation of NHS staff, volunteers, patients and carers after the pandemic is over.

To contribute to the Gallery’s fundraising efforts for NHS Charities Together, please consider buying art and / or making a donation.
