Story
I am doing really well at the moment some days are a struggle as my body aches and seems to harder to move as I am growing.I am just about to send a video to the USA as more surgery may be needed.
Thank you for all your support please continue to support me as I still need funds to pay for my therapies which include physio , equipment and disability swimming all of this keeps me going .
Having now had my SDR operation I am still fundraising for my physiotherapy. My operation has greatly improved my life however I am still struggling to walk as my left leg is still making me walk on my toes causing me to fall all the time.I am raising money to have a further operation in the USA help make my leg more stable .The operation will cost in excess of £15k.I am so determined to walk unaided having come so far so please support me and make my dreams come true. I am working so hard to get there and would not be where I am now without your continued support. Cerebral palsy is life long sentence which I have to battle every day, I just want to be like all my friends. Love Matilda xx

My name is Matilda and I am 3 years old. I was diagnosed with Spastic Diplegia Cerebral palsy. This means basically that my legs do not work properly so I am unable to walk unaided and have to rely on a walker to help me. The really unpleasant thing about it is that it hurts where my muscles cramp and this means I can't sleep properly either, I also get tired really quickly so find it difficult to play with my friends . My mummy and Daddy are raising money to take me to America where they do an operation to make my CP affect me less. My legs are slowly deforming as the spasticity gets worse and I am finding it harder and harder to walk, even with my walker. I now have a special buggy to help me when I am outside and tired. I have been fitted with a splint for my leg which I will have to wear day and night. .One day I would love to wear sparkly shoes rather than the special ones that have to be made for me. Please donate so I can live an independent and pain free life. . Thank you x
Update June 2013. Hopefully I will be able to wear my sparkly shoes in the future. I went to America in April and had the operation. I am learning to walk now and lots of physio will assist with this. I will have to go back to America a few times to deal with related issues and therefore my fundraising is continuing to enable me to do this. Thanks so much to everyone, the operation, as well as helping me to walk without my frame, has allowed me to speak a lot better, to smell and to potty train. It's like a miracle and I am so thankful to you all for making this happen for me.
