Most of you will know I am a HUGE Bluenose. However.... If I meet my target I will do this walk in a Villa shirt!

Went for an 8 mile walk on my todd on Sunday in preparation for this. Think that deserves sponsorship out of sympathy... And because it's a great cause!

I know what you're thinking... yet another person after my hard earned money for charity.

It's true that these days we find ourselves beseiged by charity requests, and as much as we would love to we can't physically fund them all.

But I'd like you to just take a moment or two to read what I'm doing, and more importantly - why I'm doing it. If you choose not to donate then that's fine, we can still be friends, and at least one more person will be aware of the cause. If you do choose to donate, I'll be very grateful and it would be much appreciated.

Harry Moseley was an incredibly brave, inspirational boy from the West Midlands. As a fundraiser, I know how hard it is to raise money for charity. But not only did Harry start up his own incredibly successful campaign to raise funds for Cancer Research, he did so at a young age, and while fighting his own battle with brain cancer.

Having been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour at the age of just 7, Harry through himself in to the challenge of raising money for Cancer Research and raising awareness of brain tumours, through his own campaign Help Harry Help Others.

Sadly Harry passed away in October 2011 but he leaves behind a great legacy -  having done so much for others in such a short time.

I was one of Harry's many followers on Twitter and it never failed to amaze me how positive his tweets were despite his battle - and it always put my own problems in to perspective.

So when BRMB renamed their Walkathon 'Walk For Harry', there was no question it my mind that I would sign up - it was the least I could do.

Of course, the easy bit is the signing up. The hardest bit will be walking 26 miles in one day. Those of you that know me will know I love my food and beer way too much to be classed as even someone remotely fit. However, I'm going to give it a go as it is the least that this young brave boy deserves.

If you could take the time to sponsor me, no matter how little, I will be extrememly grateful.

The money raised goes directly to two fantastic causes: Acorns Childrens Hospice who provide help and support for families whose children are suffering from life limiting illnesses, and Birmingham Children's Hospital who are currently conducting a reseach project in to brain tumours.
