Walk 4 Guide Dogs 2019

We're walking 36 miles from Stevenage Old Town to the London Eye this Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 August walking through the night..
The was originally scheduled to take place in May but had to be put back 10 weeks while Siobhan trained with her new guide dog, Marty. They're all qualified and we're ready to go.
Fancy seeing how our training's been going? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NC4jBAd8o2E&t=129s - follow us at the weekend at @seandilleyNEWS and @sibbymeade on twitter and on my Facebook page.
We did it last year - you can read more at JustGiving.com/Walk4GuideDogs and we're doing it again to try to hit our £5,000 target to name a guide dog pup, "Joey" in memory of Siobhan's friend Joseph Collins. Joe was a kind, loving, driven and above all genuine man who was knocked over and killed in a. road traffic collision in South London in 2011. Siobhan and Joe were the closest of friends and his passing has left a giant hole in her heart.
We are both passionate and determined to help raise money for Guide Dogs. Siobhan first trained with a guide dog in 2003 and I trained in August 1999. It's scary to think that it has nearly been 20 years. Please help us to continue to change the lives of people who are blind and visually impaired.
Information from Guide Dogs
Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
