Hi my name is Vikki and for 27 years Cathy has been my best mate, good friend, cycling companion, drinking buddy, funny girl and second mum to my boys when they were young.  We’ve had plenty of laughs, great holidays and all the while she’s enjoyed keeping me in check and laughing at my expense!!

Since 2013 Cathy has been on a rollercoaster ride with the big Cs, cancer and chemotherapy, with more lows than highs.  Throughout Cathy has been an inspiration to everyone who knows her, always positive, funny and thinking of others before herself.

As Cathy’s journey draws to a close I have decided to give her the very last laugh at my expense and shave my hair off, if Cathy can go bald (twice) then I can too!!

Inspired by Cathy I’m raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice in Crawley and my long locks will be donated to the Little Princess Trust a charity that provides real hair wigs to sick children and young people. https://www.littleprincesses.org.uk

Cancer touches all of us one way or another. St Catherines Hospice can be there to support our loved ones when needed including Andrew my mum’s second husband, Mandy my sister-in-law but sadly wasn’t in existence when my dad died.

I hope to raise £2000 for St Catherines so any amount you are able to donate will be very gratefully appreciated.

Now I’ve shaved my head, I’ve been wondering what hat to wear. See my choices in this short clip.
