Story
On Sunday 21st September, I will be taking part in a world wide sailing race in memory of Andrew Simpson, MBE, the British Olympic medalist who tragically died aged 36 whilst training for the America's Cup Challenge last summer in San Francisco Bay. The charity, founded in his name, aims to provide sailing opportunities for young people around the world. As you know, I am passionate about sailing and it has given me untold joy whether it's been sailing across the Atlantic, racing at Cowes or pottering about on the Beaulieu River in 'Ratty'.
For me, it all began 40 years ago in a battered old dinghy, dodging ferries in Poole Harbour. With your help we can get more young people out on the water, building their confidence and independence and thus opening up wonderful opportunities for them. Thank you so much for your support.
