Northampton Veterinary Clinic Mission Rabies Fundraiser · 19 October 2018

Rabies needlessly kills 59,000 people each year. This needs to change. Following World Health Organisation guidelines we run mass canine vaccination drives and lifesaving education programmes to help people protect themselves against rabies. What we are doing works, but we can't do it alone.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Did you know that every time Northampton
Veterinary Clinic gives a dog a rabies vaccine, the Merck Company donates one to a non-profit called Mission Rabies? Mission Rabies is working hard to fight rabies which kills 100 people across the world every day, mostly children.  Over 99% of the time, rabies in humans is caused by a dog bite. Dr. Shelburne has been to India and now plans to go to Tanzania to volunteer for this organization and vaccinate dogs for rabies. However, this fundraiser page is not for travel - and since the vaccines are donated, your donation will go a long way towards saving both people and dogs. Please consider donating to this worthy cause!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
