Fundraising for Isra-UK Feed the Poor
Story
Last Ramadhan we managed to collectively raise over £100,000 Masha'Allah! This money helped hundreds of families get clean water, medicine and emergency Covid packs. Let's hit this target and more insha'allah. There are still so many Yemeni families living without basic necessities. They need us!
I've created this page because I want to make a difference. I'm inspired by the work of Isra UK and wanted to support them by raising money for Yemen. They have workers on the ground right now fulfilling many projects to help the people of Yemen.

When we feel strong and well, it is easy to forget about our own frailties and also the misfortunes, troubles, and sicknesses of others. We are only as strong as is our compassion for those who are weak. For in strength must come the power of understanding and the wisdom to act with gentleness and kind concern for those who are not able to help themselves. It is in the ability to empathize that we show true insight and in the ability to aid that we show our real gifts. These are the real hallmarks of true compassion and strength.
Yemen is the largest humanitarian crisis in the world, with more than 24 million people, 80% of the population in need of humanitarian assistance and with COVID-19 spreading, Yemen is facing an emergency within an emergency.
Even before the outbreak of war, Yemen was one of the poorest countries in the world, and with the ongoing conflict it remains on the brink with millions not knowing where their next meal will come from.
ISRA UK has been working in Yemen for over 30 years and actively responding every day to the emergency need in Yemen since war broke out in 2015, providing vital food security, medical assistance, ensuring safe water supply, and long term solutions such as empowerment programs, and orphan sponsorships are delivered to those in need.
With your support we can continue the good work and reach as many people as possible, so many lives can be saved or improved but we cannot do it without your help!
This is how you can ensure families and the needy facing extreme poverty receive the life-saving assistance they need.
You can help provide
Feeding
£20,000 will provide 500 families (up to 3500 individuals) with 1 months supply of essential food
£40 will provide a family
£6,000 will provide 100,000 loaves of bread distributed to homes and refugee camps
Provide 1,000 loaves of bread for £75
£2,500 will provide 1000 Iftar meals during Ramadhan
Feed a fasting person an Iftar meal for £2.50
Water Aid
£20,000 will provide safe drinking water to 48,000 individuals each village receiving
Give water to an entire village for £175 (30,000 litres of drinking water)
Orphans
£5,000 will Sponsor 20 orphans for a year, providing them monthly support, Eid clothes and gifts and Qurbani meat
Sponsor an orphan for £300 per year
ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER Millions of Yemenis struggle each day to find enough clean water for cooking and washing. Yemen has also been hit by the world’s worst cholera outbreak. Cholera is transmitted through contaminated water or food and thrives in areas that lack proper sanitation facilities. It has affected 1.3 million people and caused the death of 2,800 people. 17.8 million people lack access to safe water and sanitation and are at risk of contracting cholera.
The huge rise in cholera, malaria and acute diarrhoea in Yemen has compounded the country’s malnutrition crisis. Yemen’s health system is also nearing a breaking point, suffering from acute shortages of fuel and medical supplies, which has left the country struggling to respond.
Covid is now spreading fast through Yemen. With limited facilities and limited medicine many many people are dying. We aim to provide covid medical kits and medicine to help
ZAKAAT CAN BE PAID THROUGH THIS. Please type Zakaat and we will be donating that for medicine. The people of Yemen are struggling and dying because of lack of medicine or not being able to afford it.
