About U.S. Grant
The Ulysses S. Grant Foundation Summer Program is a 64-year old academic enrichment program for talented and motivated middle school students from New Haven. Yale undergraduates design and teach hands-on, stimulating classes on a range of disciplines. Participating middle school students acquire knowledge and skills while the undergraduate teachers gain a deeper mastery of their own class material as well as the essentials of good teaching. Conducted in small classroom settings on the Yale University campus, U. S. Grant's six-week summer program offers small project-based classes and intellectual challenges and opportunities that might not be available in the normal classroom setting.
