As a Charity our work is to support the Children of Chernobyl and historically this has been carried out by the way of Health Respite visits to the UK. To support these children and their families must remain our priority and whilst we applaud the Governments Scheme  as a Charity we are unable at this in point in time to become part of that program. We are currently in talks with the Home Office about the possibility of restarting the Group visits for the children and we await the outcome of these talks but it is our hope to invite small groups of 10 to the UK with a leader, with one such group coming to Ayrshire. 

Historically we have had to pay for all costs in bringing the children to Ayrshire, such as flights, Visa's and their internal travel costs. We would expect to pay these costs again this year with each chid we invite costing around £500, so 10 children @£500 would be £5000. We will then  have additional cost when the children are in Ayrshire such as transport, clothes, shoes, toiletries, excursions and treats etc. So any donations we receive towards this total would be greatly appreciated!!

We are and will continue to be extremely proactive in our support of the children and families in the Ukraine by way of using financial donations received getting directly to those on the ground. These are families who are in need now and on a daily basis. The charity has been doing this since the very first day of conflict. We are using the money helping our teams relocate people to safety, providing urgent medicines, food & water, and also supplying care products for children on palliative care.

Scottish people especially those of you in Ayrshire have always been very generous in the past  so please help once again by donating what every you can afford - it will help us to help them!
