Fundraising for Leeds Hospitals Charity
Story
Hi and thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
My lovely friend, Lisa Chambers and her sister Jo-Anne Davies lost their lovely mum to liver disease on the 17th October 2008.
In honour of her memory I am running the Wilmslow Half Marathon on the 29th March 2009 and then the following week am running the Blackpool Half Marathon on the 5th April 2009.
I am aiming to raise as much money as I can for the Liver Unit at St James University Hospital, Leeds. This is where Anne was looked after throughout her illness and where she eventually died. The staff were absolutely fantastic in taking care of Anne and Lisa and Jo can't thank them enough for their dedication and support in helping to look after their mum.
It doesn't matter how much I raise, I don't have a specific figure in mind as I am aware of the "credit crunch" and that everyone seems to be asking for money at this hard time. What I will say though is that no matter how little you can afford that every single penny counts, so please please donate as much or as little as you can afford. I know that the Hospital Trust have assured me that any money I raise will go directly to the Liver Unit at the hospital.
