Story
During lockdown, BigMoose charity provided therapy for lots of people and were told by five individuals that without intervention, they would have ended their lives.
We want to help give access to mental health support for many more across the UK and that's why we are raising money for BigMoose charity.
Kate & Kieren are passionate about leaving the world a better place and supporting those who need it most. Both Kate and Kieren are passionate cyclists and have lost friends to suicide these past few years. Mental health impacts us all, and we want to make sure people have access to support and help when they need it most.
On Sunday 11th Sept 2022, we're leaving Cardiff and cycling 600 miles around the circumference of Wales on bamboo bikes and fuelled by plant-based food!
We'll be camping under the stars as we cycle around and, assuming our legs survive the Welsh hills, we'll complete the cycle in 5 days!
Our £10,000 fund-raising is part of a much bigger project, with BigMoose committed to raising £1 million which will be used to provide therapy and early intervention for people. The goal is to help people with their mental health, prevent suicide and reach people who wouldn't necessarily receive support, such as the homeless.
In 2020, 5,224 people died from suicide in England and Wales. This number is too high. We hope you will join us in raising money to support those who need it.
