About The Micklegate York Charitable Trust
The Trust can trace its roots back to 1566 when Isabella Ward, gifted Jacob’s Well to the Trustees to provide relief for the poor on All Souls’ Day each year. Today, the Trust uses its funds to benefit people who live or work in York, who are facing hardship or distress.
