About The Bobby Scheme - Cambridgeshire
The Bobby Scheme is dedicated to reducing crime and the fear of crime, helping older and vulnerable residents across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough feel safer in their own homes. Through our work, we secure homes and gardens with crime prevention intervention by installing up to date security devices. The aim is to prevent repeat victimisation and improve overall feelings of safety and wellbeing.
As a charity, we provide essential home security support for older, vulnerable, and disabled individuals. By enhancing their home security, we not only protect them from potential crime but also contribute to increased independence, improved confidence, better health, and overall wellbeing.
As a trusted and well-established charity, the charity also serves as a vital support network for its beneficiaries. Our team helps connect individuals with essential services they may need while also providing a safe and supportive environment where they feel comfortable sharing concerns. In many cases, beneficiaries confide in us about unreported crimes, such as romance scams or rogue trader fraud, allowing us to offer guidance, reassurance, and the necessary steps to seek further support.
