Story

Paul Wilson is moving on to become Headmaster at the new Brighton College in Singapore. Abraham is organising a special thank you for their teacher and housemaster who has inspired not only the boys who have passed through the House, but all those in the Brighton College community that he has come across alongside all those who have crossed his path as a trustee for Reading Spots. Paul is always remembered for his unfailing kindness by anyone who meets him. The same is equally true of Sarah Wilson.

Paul and Sarah's legacy of kindness has inspired this gift.

From the minute that the idea of Reading Spots was created, Paul was central to the development of the project. Without his tireless work the network of 30 community-led Reading Spots in Ghana, increasingly powered by solar and led by trained volunteers, would not have developed. His unfaltering commitment has made a staggering commitment to the lives of thousands of Ghanaians. Likewise, Sarah has given invaluable service to Reading Spots.

In 2018 Reading Spots was the winner of the TES International Award.

Paul has spent many a happy trip relaxing in Elmina, and we know he will really enjoy the thought of a Reading Spots project created in recognition of all that he has contributed to Brighton College and the development of Reading Spots.

We have set an ambitious target but, knowing how many people will want to thank Paul, we are sure we can reach it. The more we raise the better the facilities that can be built including a childrens' and adult library.
