Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

While stuck at home I have been unable to do my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh volunteering, our friend is a voluntary fundraiser for the local Hospice and she explained that 62% of the funds to run the service annually have to be raised this year by the 6 local hospice shops and local fundraising events.  All this has had to stop due to the Corona Virus, but the amazing work of supporting people suffering with serious life threatening illnesses and those at the end of their lives with all care and treatment has continued.  This all free of charge to the patients and their carers. The team at Great Oaks are not able to have people at the Hospice at the moment, but the whole team are going out to people's homes to continue to provide them with this amazing service day in day out during this crisis.  They desperately need help with fundraising and it seemed like a small thing I could do to help.

I realised that lots of my friends could help too, and together we might raise more funding.   So each person can choose their activity, be it silly or a challenge or an activity like 2 hours of non stop diablo - get sponsored and together we might really help the Hospice to continue to do its wonderful work.
