Story
So 2020 has been an absolute dumpster fire of a year but the Cavernoma Society (a UK- based charity which supports adults and children affected by a rare neurological condition which causes raspberry-like lesions in the brain and spine) is always trying to put some awesomeness back into the world and I am partnering up with them on a cool new fundraising venture.
Cavernomas do so much damage and with little research done on them, sufferers can have a rough road with constant trips to the hospital. It is really hard on children. This festive season, the society has 25 of its child members in and out of hospital for various appointments including MRI’s (which no one likes) and with COVID being ever present, hospital visits for these little ones are even more scary and confusing.
We are looking to raise £700 in order to give each of those 25 children (many of whom have multiple lesions on their brain) a teddy and custom-made pyjamas from the Pyjama fairies (another UK Charity) so that they have a companion to take to hospital with them not just for the festive season but for every appointment, MRI and even surgery so they feel safe and comfortable. The pyjamas are especially made for children and are hospital/surgery approved as are the teddy bears..
Any donation is welcome. If you’d like to sponsor the full £28 for one child this Christmas then you will be sent a certificate of which child’s gift you’ve sponsored, as well as photos. You will also be sent a pack of 12 free Xmas Cards provided by me so your donation is a win on two levels (while stocks last).
Thank you for reading and if you can donate, thank you for your donation
