Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page for our six day trek to reach the summit of Kilimanjaro.
Eleven of us; Aletia Munien, Amaury de Beaumont, Dmitry Serov, Elena Ioannou, Ivana Todorovska, Laura Baz, Lesley Owens, Maryam Isa Abdulla, Michael Chami, Patrick Holzhauser and Paul Mulholland, have decided to take on this challenge and would like to try to raise money for three great causes in the process.
We realise there is a big call for support at the moment in response to recent disasters but we had already decided we wanted to raise funds for charities close to us and close to the area we will be visiting. The three charities are:
- Ace Africa which works in rural Kenya and Tanzania to help people build sustainable futures for their children and communities;
- Paradis d'Enfants which supports three non-profit primary schools in Lebanon; and
- Touch Foundation which is working to strengthen the health system in Tanzania through training of medical staff.
We hope to visit Ace Africa in Tanzania before we leave on our climb.
