We've joined together to raise money for the Children's Cancer ward (4 & 14) at the RVI, becasue of the fantastic work they are doing to care for Max in his fight against cancer. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
On April 20th 2014, Max was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. His diagnosis was out of the blue, but thankfully his response to the initial treatments was so good that it took even the doctors by surprise. However, he has a long 3 year treatment programme ahead of him to cure him of the cancer.
So on April 25th 2015, to mark the first year of his fight and to keep his ongoing treatment fresh in everyone’s thoughts and prayers we will be doing an Olympic distance triathlon for Max, swimming 1500m, cycling 40km and running 10km.
This challenge will be hard and will keep us focused on the fight Max has done so far and the fight he still has in front of him, we want our blood sweat and, no doubt, tears to count and as such we aim to raise £3000 in sponsorship.
Tri 4 Max is not an official race or organised event, but a show of teamwork, comradery and joint challenge to do together for Max.
