Thank you for visiting the fundraising page of the Good Life Campaign.
I believe that a good life is important for everybody. Therefore I have chosen two great charities, which are both doing amazing work in improving the lives of people and animals across the world: The International Rescue Committee (IRC) and The World Veterinary Service (WVS).
The IRC was founded in 1933 at the suggestion of Albert Einstein. It provides essential help to people who are fleeing conflict or natural disasters all around the world, including crucial support to children and women who are usually particularly vulnerable when things go wrong. Charity Watch has rated the IRC as excellent, with over 90% of donated money going directly to its operational work.
The WVS was founded by vet Luke Gamble in 2003 and provides sustainable veterinary care and resources in parts of the world where these are normally not available. The work includes disaster emergency response, international veterinary training, rabies vaccination and neutering campaigns. This important work does not only alleviate animal suffering but also saves and improves human lives by reducing the risk of rabies infections, and through improving the health of livestock on which local people are depending for income and food.
It is entirely up to you if you prefer to donate to both charities or select just one of them.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
I really appreciate your support!
Thank you so much,
Petra
