Have you heard about the Gauntlet? if not where have you been?
It is taking place on 4 June 2015 at the Leicester Tiger’s ground on Welford Road.
The inaugural Gauntlet, an “it’s a knockout” style games event, is being brought to you by Lords Taverners in Leicestershire - the same team who have brought you the L Factor and Y Factor in the last two years and raised £100k for charity at the same time. Teams will compete to be crowned the winners of the Richard III trophy while raising lots more money for local children’s and sporting charities.
There will be no singing this year (unless you bring your own squad of cheerleaders), but there will fun, laughter, entertainment, Richard III (of course) and a barmy summer evening!
The Games have been hired from Off Limits Limited and are based on BBC's "Its a Knock Out". We even have some of the original kit! A dedicated website and social media campaign is being designed and run by Juice Creative Ltd. The event on the night is being organised and controlled by the Leicester Tigers Community Events team, so don't worry they used to co-ordinating large uncontrollable crowds !!!
Our usual favourites George Chuter and Paul Nixon, Leicester's very own Ant and Dec, will act as comperes throughout the night. There will also be a fun filled evening of audience participation including the now famous Y Fronts Band finishing off the evening with their own unique style of music!
