Thanks for visiting our team fundraising page.
We've joined together to raise money for the NSPCC charity, in memory of Nina and Jack, and in aid of all vulnerable children in the UK.
Nina and Jack, Sarah's children, were born in 1989 and 1990. They were wonderful, kind, cheeky, happy children; oustanding in their qualities, yet as normal as any other children. And just as entitled to grow up into healthy young adults as any other children.
But Nina and Jack didnt grow up.
They were killed by their father in 1994, aged just 3 and 4 years of age.
Unfortunately, whilst shocking, their murders are not so unusual
On sunday 17th April Sarah rode the Warwick 100 mile cycling sportive to raise money for the NSPCC. It should have been Jacks 21st birthday, and was an emotional day, but, thanks to many generous donations, a lot of money was raised for the NSPCC.
Lynda Walford took part in the Edinburgh Marathon, her first Marathon in May 2011.
Tabitha Luke-McLean will be taking part in the Stratford Triathlon in May 2012.
Sarah is running The Comrades Marathon, 56 miles, in South Africa in June 2012.
Between us we are aiming to raise £5000 for the NSPCC.
Please sponsor either of us, or join the team and raise money in memory of Nina and Jack.
Please read the shocking statistics at the foot of this page and see why every donation to the NSPCC, no matter how small, is vital in the battle against child cruelty.
Many thanks for taking the time to read this.
So please take a moment to think about Nina and Jack, and all the vulnerable children who are at risk right now, and donate now.
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 28%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
On average, every week in England and Wales at least one child is killed at the hands of another person.
