We've joined together to raise money for our nominated charities, Neurosupport and the Merseyside Asbestos Victim Support Group.
Neurosupport is a Liverpool based support group who offer non-medical advice and assistance to people with neurological conditions, to their families and also to the professionals who care for them.
The Merseyside Asbestos Victim Support Group is a voluntary organisation, set up and run by sufferers of asbestos related diseases and the families of people who have died of the disease. The Group aims to change the lack of services and information available to victims, and has assisted thousands of victims in obtaining Social Security and Civil Compensation, continuing to assist and support victims and their families. Almost all of their advice workers suffer with asbestos related diseases. For more information, please visit www.asbestosdiseases.org.uk.
We are focussing our efforts to raise money for these charities through a variety of events throughout 2014, including:
· The National Three Peaks Challenge;
· Dress Down Days;
· Bake Sales;
· Supermarket Bag Packing, and;
· Charity Fun Day.
