***You will see that the target for the CLIC Sargent Garden Fete has been smashed and an overwhelming amount has been raised! I am now putting all my efforts into raising money for the Maggie's Culture Crawl and would appreciate if any donations were now made to this page.***
Thank you for visiting our team fundraising page. My name is James Austin, and on the 15th March 2016 my life changed completely when I was told I had a large brain tumour on my right frontal lobe. I had brain surgery to have the majority of it removed and on the 28th of March a biopsy revealed that I had a stage 4 Glioblastoma, one of the most aggressive forms of brain cancer.
I then had a combination of radiotherapy and chemotherapy and now have decided to use alternative medicines to fight this as best I can. I have since gone back to work, I continue to play football and generally try to live the best life possible whilst living with terminal cancer.
Throughout my diagnosis I have been overwhelmed by the support from my family, friends, charities and even strangers. We have set up this team page so that we can try and give back to some of the charities that have supported me most.
We've joined together to raise money for charity. You'll see our team fundraising target on the right. Your donation can really help us smash this goal.
This fund has been set up and called the James Austin Fund to support charities such as CLIC Sargent and Maggie's.
You can take a look at our donation pages below to donate and leave a message. To join our team, set up your own Just Giving page and come back here and click on Join the Team (below)💜💛💙
Remember: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never share them with anyone or send you unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. They'll make sure Gift Aid (an additional 25%) is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer, too. That means more money goes to the charity, faster, with JustGiving.
Thank you to everyone for your continued support...it means everything!
