On August the 18th a group of games industry execs embark on a huge challenge for Games Aid, a UK video games charity that distributes funds to a diverse range of charities. After spending the week at Gamescom (Europe’s largest video games trade and consumer show) in Cologne, Germany, the team will cycle over 500k back to Brighton in the UK arriving back on 21st August. This epic challenge sees the group riding across Germany, Belgium and France before the final stretch from Newhaven to Brighton. Rest assured there will be many stories of 10 hour days in the saddle, tired legs, punctures, battling foreign roads (and drivers!) and of course sore bums and you will can follow their adventure on the official Facebook page as well as individual Twitter pages.
The team of eight consists of:
Cat Channon (NCSoft)
Mark Allen (Kalypso Media)
David Priestman (Future Publishing)
James Beaven (Indigo Pearl)
Nick Haywood (Kuoda)
Graeme Struthers (GetGamesGo)
Nathan Ditum (Future Publishing)
Sarah Ditum (Freelance journalist)
Every penny really does count as ALL of the money raised goes directly to Games Aid so please give what you can and show your support to the team!
